Read this filing first. It is tied into the whole Kevin Murray debacle that the city is fighting, using YOUR money, on several fronts.
The City of Ukiah, after having fired Kevin Murray for all of the other stuff that he is charged with, rapes and etcetera, denies all aspects of complaints filed by a former officer that is not currently charged with multiple rapes, etcetera.
The City denies all allegations and contentions listed in the filing.
This is just not plausible, nor if this position sustainable. I will get to that under "Predictions" on this page.
They are effectively using taxpayer funds... YOUR funds... to defend itself, not you, from sex misconduct and associated discrimination-related employment charges allegedly committed by the man that the City of Ukiah fired, for suspected sex-related offenses... that he goes on trial for on 06Dec21. Anyone else see the irony in this?
Good thing that they are using YOUR money to hire one of the premiere employment-discrimination law firms in California to represent the "axis of evil"; the City of Ukiah, The Ukiah Police Department, and Kevin Murray. Firms of this stature don't charge $200-$300/hr. Think much higher. Cases like these don't take 20-30 hours. Think many multiples of that... and to that astronomical figure, add to it the ordered judgement at the end of this, which taxpayers will likely be on the hook for.
Your tax dollars at work.

The City will be unable to maintain the assertion that they deny all elements of the Siderakis filing. Too many individuals were involved. There is likely supporting evidence. If you maintain that it is all bullshit, and then it is revealed through evidence to NOT be all bullshit, your position in the case becomes untenable.
The City knows about Kevin Murray. They fired him for this sort of nonsense. Now, they use taxpayer money to effectively defend Kevin Murray, for this kind of nonsense. The City holds secret meetings at the City Council, which YOU are not privy to, to discuss this nonsense... and they do this to prevent transparency. The City know about Kevin Murray, but they don't want YOU to know the extent of the corruption within their system, or the true costs to taxpayers as a result of their management failures.
Government and corporate entities generally will settle cases like this silently. They, through their very expensive, taxpayer-funded attorneys, arrange confidential settlements, prior to a verdict in the case. The City will generally require non-disclosure agreements for payout of settlements, plus the injured party must agree that the City admits no fault in the case.
I believe that the City will push this case all the way, as far as it can go... and then settle as described, using taxpayer money to pay off the victim of the City employee.
If it does go to jury trial, I would expect the city to lose, and that will be reflected in the ordered judgment. Going to jury trial would cause this information to become more public, and the ordered judgment would be much larger than a settlement.
The city will settle... and look to silence it all.
They got to protect their phony baloney jobs, to paraphrase Blazing Saddles.
